Custom made in the USA bits to open up your Microtech Knife.
Just because Microtech doesn’t want you to open up your knife doesn’t mean that you can not now.
Need to do minor maintenance or replace springs and parts on your Microtech, now you can.
Fits Small Size Screws
Measurements across 2 holes are:
Small Tri-Bit = 0.082" (5/64") (2.11mm)
(Measurements are across the outside of the holes)
Typically Fit the UTX-70
If you encounter a tight screw, it may have thread locker on it.
To loosen up Loctite aka tread locker you can:
1. Use a heat gun
2. Use the tip of a soldering iron and touch the screw heads
3. Place the knife in the oven at 250 degrees. (Only if it has solid metal construction, meaning no handle scales)
SALES ON TRI-BIT TOOLS ARE FINAL - NO EXCHANGES- NO NOTHING.
THAT MEANS YOU GET OFF YOUR LAZY ASS AND MEASURE THE SCREWS YOURSELF WITH A MIC OR DIAL CALIPER OR HOWEVER YOU WANT TO DO IT.
MICROTECH USES ALL SIZE SCREWS ON EVERYTHING DEPENDS WHO PUT THEM TOGETHER, WHAT TRAY THEY GRABBED SCREWS FROM, WHO KNOWS BUT THEY ARE NOT ALL THE SAME SO GUYS YOU MUST MEASURE THINGS YOURSELF BECAUSE I AM NOT YOUR MOMMY AND DON'T WANT TO FIGURE OUT WHAT SCREWS YOU HAVE.
IF YOU ARE TOO DAFT TO FIGURE OUT THE SCREWS THEN THE TRUTH IS YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS OPENING UP THE KNIFE AND YOU NEED TO SEND IT BACK TO MICROTECH AND DEAL WITH THOSE IDIOTS FOR 6 MONTHS FOR YOUR RMA.
I MADE THESE TOOLS AS A FAVOR TO GUYS WHO CAN HANDLE THEMSELVES & TOOLS.
